Rental Policies

Drivers must be at least 21 years old. At Sun Diego Car Rental, we always waive the underage driver's fee for drivers between the age of 21-24.

Please note that all passenger & cargo van rentals require drivers to be a minimum of 25 years old with full coverage insurance to rent & drive.

All renters must have a credit card in order to rent a vehicle from Sun Diego Car Rental. We only accept credit cards for payment. We accept Visa, AMEX, Discover, and Mastercard.

All renters/drivers must have their own personal auto insurance that transfers over to cover rental vehicles. Additional Insurance may be provided by your credit card company.

All rentals can be canceled outside of 7 days without penalty. Rentals canceled inside of 7 days will be charged half of the estimated total of each reservation.

All renters must hold a valid license. A qualified provisionary and temporary license is accepted upon manager approval. International and foreign licenses are accepted with a valid passport.
